Everyone Is In Sales

Zig Ziegler, author and motivational guru, said, “… everyone is in sales. Maybe you don’t hold the title of salesperson, but if the business you are in requires you to deal with people, you, my friend, are in sales.” Whether you are a dentist, doorman or dog catcher, you are selling something—and like many salespeople, you have a storefront. Let’s talk about that.

Your office entrance is the first (and last) thing a patient sees. A clean welcoming space lets the clientele know that your practice is concerned with quality and satisfaction. Whether your office is crisp and clinical or casual and down-home, your “storefront” will reflect your professionalism and be a comfort to your patients.

Additionally, when an entrance does its job, it boosts morale. Employees and staff get a gentle, daily reminder that their office cares about the patient —long before anyone slides into a dental chair. Caring is like the Hokey-Pokey. That’s what it’s all about.

There is an old saying that goes something like this: “No one cares how much you know until they know how much you care.” The Articulator’s staff hopes this newsletter makes a good first impression, especially for those unfamiliar with the Custom Smiles family. Please consider our inaugural O.A. issue a great big welcome mat (figuratively, of course). Don’t wipe your feet on it.
